New brochure: ‘Organizing neighborhood work’
Where is the best place to start? This team will help you with that.
Several municipalities are now exploring how best to shape neighborhood-oriented work within the social domain. Questions that arise here are: where to start? How do I involve residents in community-oriented work? How do administrators, civil servants and professionals work in the neighborhood with a broad perspective? And how do I give community-oriented work a place in procurement?
Availability of scarce resources in youth aid
New publication online
The quality and accessibility of youth care is an important issue: the newspapers are full of it and politics is overflowing. Vulnerable young people and families have to deal with waiting lists too often, municipalities and providers say they have too little money for a solid aid offer. One thing people do agree on; this has to change.
Together with administrators Mariënne Verhoef and Anke van Dijke, colleague Jos Smeenge wrote this publication with possible solutions and a practical mindset to give a reform hands and feet.

Care in ambulatory context
The Dune and Flowerbulb Region subregion
(Noordwijk, Katwijk, Hillegom, Lisse, Teylingen) asked EHdK late last year to guide twelve contracted providers in the transformation of social care. The goal is for providers, under the guidance of EHdK, to give form and substance to the transformation task they were given by the municipalities. By now the process has been going on for a few months and the first impressions are positive.

The availability of youth aid in the criminal justice system is under pressure. In the district of Oost-Nederland, therefore, the “Juvenile Justice Chain Development Program” was started. Let’s stop youth care and commit to family care
In 2023, we will push even harder for family care. After all, the cause of many youth problems lies not with the children but with their parents….
Youth and Family Day WIJeindhoven
The inspiration day themed “Professionals with Guts”
Last week colleagues Nadine and Teun attended the Youth and Family Day of the Eindhoven implementing organization WIJeindhoven. The inspiration day with the theme “Professionals with Guts” where attention was paid to major themes such as “being a professional from your heart” and “looking from the perspective of the youth and family.”
We are proud to support WIJeindhoven with an improvement plan for youth aid in Eindhoven (DeltaPlan Jeugd) since April 2022. The assignment focuses on strengthening the skills of professionals and picking up more requests for help from the first line.
Very cool to be in conversation on this day with generalists of WIJeindhoven who work every day for families in Eindhoven. A day full of great conversations, inspiration and energy!

EHdK supports the Movement of Zero. We are going for 0, are you too?
We think it is important to support initiatives that are close to our own motivations in vulnerable people care: making care a little better every day. We see this fully reflected in the Movement of 0: 0 children not growing up optimally at home. That’s what the Movement of 0 is all about. A movement that can make a substantial difference in the lives of children and families.

Duco Stuurman
Directeur Sociaal Domein, Gemeente Amsterdam
