Mid-term transformation subregion Dune and Flowerbulb Region

Care in ambulatory context The Dune and Flowerbulb Region subregion

(Noordwijk, Katwijk, Hillegom, Lisse, Teylingen) asked EHdK late last year to guide twelve contracted providers in the transformation of social care. The goal is for providers, under the guidance of EHdK, to give form and substance to the transformation task they were given by the municipalities. By now the process has been going on for a few months and the first impressions are positive.

The requested transformation includes the reduction and conversion of Protected Housing to Protected Home places, the establishment of a respite facility in the region and the creation of a structure through which organizations will learn, innovate and develop new initiatives together. Additionally, EHdK is developing a substantive development plan and a cooperation agreement together with the providers. This will form the basis for the multi-year cooperation between the providers themselves and between the providers and municipalities.

The first impressions are positive: providers and municipalities both have a great drive to work on the further development of Protected Housing and Social Care from the perspective of the client. At the same time, this is also exciting: how are the providers going to respond to the changing task of increasingly providing care to vulnerable residents in an outpatient context? And what is needed to make this happen? In the coming months we will work on this together with providers and municipalities with great energy and courage! To be continued.
