Seven good habits for commissioning

Youth aid has been in a state of flux in recent years. It is abundantly clear that good procurement of youth aid cannot happen without sustained collaboration between the client and providers, professionals and clients.

After five years of procurement of youth aid from municipalities, since the publication of the first edition in 2015, thinking has evolved; the focus in the beginning was mainly on setting up a good procurement system. Now more and more space is emerging to think about what good procurement entails and how a region can shape it properly in the long term.

All the more reason to take a renewed look at this topic in greater detail. The publication update appeared in 2021.

Purchasing youth aid – seven good habits

Commissioned by the Ambassador Care Landscape for Specialist Youth Care (Jan Menting), EHdK has worked out what the seven good habits in the procurement of youth care should be. The content of this publication was partly created through practical experiences in five youth aid regions and from the knowledge and experience of a large number of stakeholders in the field.
